About the Speaker
Akash Gupta is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, where he teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) courses. He also holds key roles in the legal academia landscape, contributing as the Assistant Editor for various reputed journals. In 2023, the Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration & Mediation honored Akash with the Young ADR Academic of the Year award.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Akash has been appointed as a Sole Arbitrator in 30 disputes and as a Sole Conciliator in 250 disputes, showcasing his expertise in the field. He has conducted workshops and credit courses on various subjects, including Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiation, Mooting, and ADR Competitions, reaching out to students at 40 different law schools.
Currently, he is enrolled in a Ph.D. program focusing on ADR at GD Goenka University. He completed his LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Stockholm University in 2019, during which he participated in the Vis Moot, securing a position among the Top 16 out of 372 global teams and receiving an Honourable Mention for the Best Memorandum for Claimant. He graduated from Tamil Nadu National Law University in 2018 and has pursued additional legal studies at The Hague Academy of International Law, the Netherlands (sponsored), and the Paris Arbitration Academy (with full scholarship), as well as the WIPO Academy.
About the Moderator
Samiksha Singh is practicing as a criminal litigator and has over 4 years of experience. She has worked extensively in the field on multiple high-profile cases with distinguished law luminaries such as Adv. Satish Maneshinde, Adv. Yug M. Chaudhry & Adv. Faisal Rizvi. Samiksha graduated from Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur with Specialisation Honours in Criminal Laws and International Trade & Investment in 2019. Then she completed her post-graduation in Criminal Laws in 2022. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in allied laws and is also a qualified PoSH Specialist.
Samiksha has always been inclined towards teaching and education. With over 7 years of teaching experience to CLAT Aspirants, she also joined the Lawctopus Law School team as the Learning Manager.
