Groups of children from northeast China have been warmly welcomed in Guangxi after 11 kids from the southern Chinese autonomous region were taken good care of during a recent trip to the northeast.

The study tour by a group of 11 kindergarten students from Guangxi caused an internet sensation earlier this month. Chinese netizens eagerly followed the itinerary of their trips to Heilongjiang and Jilin, two northeastern Chinese provinces, where they were touched by the hospitality of the locals.

The first group of 10 kindergarten kids from Jilin traveled to Liuzhou, a city known for its prehistoric cultural sites, diverse ethnic groups, and Luosifen – river snail rice noodles. Another group of 15 kids from Harbin, the provincial capital of Heilongjiang, visited Guilin, one of China’s most popular tourist destinations renowned for its beautiful mountains and waters.

The impact of these interactions has inspired more parents from across China to send their children on study tours to opposite sides of the country, giving their kids the chance to experience new climates, landscapes, and cultural attractions different from their own.
