The Lok Sabha, referred to as the House of the People, consists of 545 members in total. The vast majority, 543 of these members, are directly elected by the public, with each representing a single constituency. However, the remaining two members are not elected through this process. - There are 97 crore (970 million) registered voters in India.
- Over 10.5 lakh (1.05 million) polling stations will be set up across the country, manned by around 1.5 crore (15 million) personnel.
