About the Event

T.S. Mishra Law School is pleased to announce the Two-Day Online National Workshop to help students comprehensively understand the Three New Criminal Laws (i.e., Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam).

The Inaugural and its sessions are scheduled to be held on 19th and 20th July, from 10 A.M. onwards. Registrations are open now.

About the Organizers

The T.S. Mishra University, Lucknow has been established as a memorial to the Late Justice Tribeni Sahai Misra, whose commitment to Education inspired the founding members to create a Centre of Excellence for Learning, Knowledge and Wisdom.

T.S. Mishra Law School is dedicated to providing quality legal education and prioritising outcome-based education. The vision of the institution is to promote Law courses, programmes, curriculum, research, collaborations, and interaction through its faculty, infrastructure, and varied opportunities.

From the academic year 2024-25, it offers a five year Integrated B.B.A. LL.B. and B.A. LLB. programme; one year LL.M. programme (Criminal and Security Law/Constitutional and Administrative Law) and Ph.D. (Full Time-Law).

Details of the Event

India’s Criminal Justice System has begun a new chapter with the enactment of the New Criminal Laws 2023 in December 2023. The Purpose of these new Acts is to deliver justice, not punishment. The New Criminal Laws will set to come into force from 1st July 2024.

The T.S. Mishra Law School is organising a Two-Days Online National Workshop on the THREE NEW CRIMINAL LAWS. This Workshop will provide an in-depth understanding and broader perspective of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 which are set to replace the British Era Colonial Laws, namely, The Indian Penal Code, 1860, The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and The Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
