How did you Apply?
I applied for the internship by sending a formal email with my CV and cover letter to [email protected]. A week later, I followed up on my application, and shortly after, I received a confirmation email stating that I had been selected for the internship for the desired month. The entire process was smooth, professional, and prompt.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
There weren’t any strict formalities on the first day. Upon arrival, I contacted Vivek Aggarwal Sir (Founding Partner), who asked me to report directly to the Rohini District Court instead of the office. He shared the contact number of Mr. Vineet Kumar Jain, an associate, who guided me to the courtroom where I first met Mr. Anuuj Aggarwal, Vivek Sir’s brother and a renowned criminal lawyer.
After the court proceedings, we visited the office, which left a lasting impression. It was spacious, well-furnished, and neatly organized, with dedicated cubicles and computers for interns. Although I had my own laptop, I was also allotted a system.
The welcoming attitude and professionalism displayed from day one set a positive tone for the entire internship experience.
Main Tasks
During my internship, I had the privilege of working directly under Mr. Anuuj Aggarwal, which significantly enriched my learning experience. My primary responsibilities included:
- Preparing case briefs for ongoing and past matters
- Drafting legal documents such as legal notices, rent agreements, and outsourcing agreements
- Assisting in filing matters on the e-Courts portal and preparing Process Fee (PF) forms
- Conducting in-depth legal research on statutes including the Companies Act, Trademarks Act, Copyright Act, Designs Act, and relevant provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS)
- Drafting documents such as MoUs, replies to recovery suits, and petitions under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act
In addition, I actively participated in client briefings, attended court hearings, and observed the real-time functioning of various courts across Delhi.
Work Environment
The work environment at A&A Law Corp was professional yet comfortable. Interns had the flexibility to work from their assigned cubicles or any other comfortable spot within the office. What truly mattered was the quality and punctuality of the work—not where or how you chose to sit.
Everyone—from senior partners to associates—was approachable and supportive. Mr. Vineet Kumar Jain, in particular, was extremely helpful in addressing doubts and discussing case strategies. There were no rigid hierarchies; interns were genuinely treated as part of the team. This balance of independence and mentorship created a work culture that was both collaborative and highly conducive to learning.
Good Things about the Internship
There are many positives to highlight, but one standout experience was the opportunity to travel with Anuuj Sir to various courts across Delhi—Rohini, Karkardooma, Saket, Tis Hazari, the High Court, and even tribunals. He would personally pick me up from the office, and during those drives, he generously shared valuable insights on legal practice, courtroom strategies, and client handling.
Lunch breaks were equally memorable—Sir would take me to different court canteens, always asking what I’d like to eat and ensuring I felt comfortable and included. His mentorship extended beyond professional guidance; he treated me like a younger brother. This rare combination of care, inclusion, and mentorship made the internship truly unforgettable and deeply impactful.
Bad Things about the Internship
Honestly, there’s hardly anything negative to mention. The internship was so engaging and fulfilling that the entire month flew by. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that it ended too soon. I genuinely miss working with the team—especially with Anuuj Sir.
Even today, I remain in touch with him, which speaks volumes about the meaningful bond and mentorship that developed during the course of the internship.
Monthly Stipend
No stipend was provided for the internship, and this was clearly stated on the firm’s website prior to applying. Those considering A&A Law Corp purely for monetary benefits may find it lacking in that regard. However, for anyone seeking hands-on experience, meaningful exposure, and strong mentorship, this internship offers invaluable learning opportunities that far outweigh financial compensation.
Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
I stayed in a PG accommodation just 700 meters from the office, which made the daily commute extremely convenient. The area around the office is well-connected, with Rohini East Metro Station nearby and a variety of PG options available for interns.
Court visits were seamless, as Anuuj Sir would take me along in his car, ensuring I was always on time and had the invaluable opportunity to learn directly from him during our journeys. In terms of accessibility, location, and comfort, both accommodation and transportation were smooth and stress-free throughout the internship.
Anything else you want to share?
Since the internship was based in Delhi, I made the most of my evenings after work. After reaching my PG around 5–6 PM, I would often hop onto the metro and explore iconic spots like Chandni Chowk, Akshardham Temple, Hauz Khas, and more. It was a great way to unwind and immerse myself in the city’s rich culture and vibrant food scene.
The biggest takeaway from this internship was a boost in confidence—particularly in my legal drafting and research skills—and a deep appreciation for the value of professional relationships. I’m incredibly grateful for the mentorship, courtroom exposure, and practical legal experience I gained during this time.
