Mandarin ducks are cared for and protected by locals of Yinjiang, southwest China’s Guizhou Province during the birds’ wintering there. The mandarin ducks are a second-class protected animal in China. Last year, there were only a few; however this year, over a hundred mandarin ducks were spotted at the reservoirs.
